Now, it’s time to finish up the decorating details, including choosing your wedding table numbers. It might seem like an insignificant part of the planning process, but there are plenty of options for customizing this final touch to express your style and personality. Here are some fun ways you can use coaster sets to add style to your wedding tables this year!
Coasters are the perfect way to add a bit of personality and something personal to your wedding reception. You can use them as place settings, or place cards, or even just scatter them around the venue. Plus, they’re practical in protecting surfaces from spills and condensation. The best part? They were not expensive!
So many couples (especially those on a budget) think that they need to buy some very expensive fancy coasters for their wedding reception tables, but this is not the case at all! There are so many styles out there, you’ll have no problem finding what you’re looking for. And if you want something more personalized than just plain coasters- try using wood blocks, paint chips, or scrapbooking materials- whatever works for you!
Coasters are great for weddings because they’re durable and can be customized with different shapes, colours, and fonts. They also add a touch of sophistication to any table setting. Here are some things you should consider when deciding on coasters for your wedding:
1) The shape of the coaster. Whether you want square or circular coasters depends largely on the shape of your tables. Round tables require round coasters while square tables require square ones. Square tables can also work with round coasters if they have corners that are not too sharp so as not to scratch the surface of the table. Rectangular tables will not work with either style of coaster but can use uniquely shaped ones instead. You could use a rectangular coaster with rounded edges to create an elegant design around the perimeter of the table, alternating between curved edges and straight edges.
2) Color options. Consider how many colours you want to incorporate in your design and whether there’s a colour scheme in place for other aspects of the wedding such as flowers, clothing, etc. For example, if orange is one of your chosen colours then brown would be another option but it would likely clash with green which may be in your colour scheme. If you don’t care about adding colour to your decorating scheme then go ahead and choose whichever colour works best with what else is going on at the reception (i.e., green).
While many couples are opting for a more minimalist look, there are still plenty of other options. For example, instead of having one large centrepiece on the center of the table, try arranging small vases with flowers around the perimeter of the table. This will allow for different arrangements at each seat and also make it easy for guests to reach their plates without disrupting others’ conversations. Instead of having place cards that say Mr. and Mrs. or The Smiths, consider writing the names in calligraphy-style penmanship on coasters or using ornate frames as place card holders.
